Viz Media released this saturday a new Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War trailer. The video focuses on the captains from the Thirteen Court Guard Squad, and some of the challenges they will face. Also known as Gotei 13, this is the primary military division of Society of Souls.
Bleach returns this Tuesday after a long saga. The anime finished its run in 2012 after 366 episodes, but it was canceled and never got a proper conclusion. With that, at the time fans were left without an adaptation of the final arc from Tite Kubo's manga.
Directed by Tomohisa Taguchi (The Seven Deadly Sins, Persona 5 The Animation) at Studio Pierrot, Thousand-Year Blood War will be streamed in the U.S by Hulu. Outside the U.S. Disney+ will stream the anime in "selected markets". Because of this, Brazil is one of the countries that may be left out of simulcast.
Adapting the equivalent of chapters 55-74 of the manga, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will be divided into four cours (parts), with breaks in between. In addition to Taguchi's direction, the anime has character designs by Masashi Kudou (Bleach) and music by Shirou Sagisu (SSSS.Gridman).
